The 2005 Nahant Arts and Cultural Calendar 12 August 2005, Friday First Quarter Natural History Field Trip Location: Short Beach Friends You are invited to join the Open Space Committee on Friday evening, 8/12/05, for our second natural history field trip of the season to Short Beach. The beach is lovely at this time of year, and enriched by the presence of hundreds of migrating shore birds. In addition to the birds, we will explore the interesting and specialized community of plants along the sand dunes. We will meet at the Life Saving Station at Short Beach at 6:30PM. We will walk along the beach until dusk, about 8PM - just look for the group with telescopes and binoculars. If you have binoculars, please bring them along.
