Happy Spring!
You can support the work of the Massachusetts Audubon Society by sponsoring a team in the May 2005 Birdathon.
This is a fund raising event to support sanctuary education and ecological management programs.
Teams from each of Massachusetts Wildlife Sanctuaries, including Nahant Thicket, will be searching for as many bird species as possible in 24 hours.
I am a team leader for this event and will gladly miss some sleep to support our North Shore Sanctuaries.
Make a direct contribution or inspire the team to work harder and pledge per bird species seen (our team counted 90 species last year).
Just email your pledge directly to me by May 22 and Massachusetts Audubon Society will contact you at a later date.
Thank you
Linda

| An Update: February 2005 |
Massachusetts Audubon Nahant Thicket will soon be getting some much needed attention. Plans are being developed to make the Thicket more user-friendly. Visitors will have parking, improved sanctuary entrances, boardwalks and a bridge.
I will be looking for volunteers for trail work... so get the work gloves ready! One reward is that you will get to see and hear the first Red-winged Blackbirds of the spring. How can you beat that?
