The Town Clerk acts as the town's chief election official,
recorder, officer, registrar of vital statistics, public records
officer and licensing officer.
The Clerk works closely with the Board of Registrars
to oversee polling places and the general conduct of all elections.
The Clerk also maintains records of adopted municipal code, by-laws,
oaths of office, resignations and appointments.
The Town Clerk issues' state licenses and permits, including marriage,
hunting, fishing and dog licenses.
U.S. passport applications are also accepted.
The Clerk's office responds to the inquires from the public and
servers as a central information point for the Town.
It is the mission of the Town Clerk to be a primary provider of
information and quality services to the community and to work cooperatively
and in coordination with the varied departments and groups while
performing a myriad of tasks to achieve established goals and comply
with state and local statutes.
