Building Work Permit Application (November 2007) The Town of Nahant is pleased to announce that the new on line permitting program is now available to the public.  All Building, Electrical, Plumbing and Gas permits must be applied for on line at: http://www.nahantwebservices.org.  Call Mary with any questions: 781-581-5263
Important Announcement Regarding Flood Insurance The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is currently updating and modernizing the Nation’s flood maps. The new maps will reflect recent changes to floodplain sand flood risks, and will drive changes in flood insurance requirements for some property owners. The Flood Insurance Rate Map for Nahant has changed and affects some Town Residents. All of documents below and the Preliminary FEMA Map are available to the public at during the Inspectors Office regular business hours. Please see Mary Lowe on the lower level at the Nahant Town Hall.

The Application for Permit To Perform Building Work is now available for downloading and printing. We have also posted a a small group of supplemental documents you should review before submitting your Building Permit request. Wilson buildinginspector@nahant.org Printing Tips (New) Because all the Building Permits posted online line are JPEG virtuals, the easiest way to print one of them is to simply download it to your hard drive and use you usual image software program to print it. Window's users can also use Microsoft's Picture and Fax Viewer software which is pre-installed on most systems. If you have further questions about the virtuals or printing, please email the webmaster who will be happy to assist you.
