Autumn Update 2007
Hello members and residents who may catch us on our website. We hope all of you had a nice summer, and are looking forward to the Holidays.
Our “Autumn By The Sea” garden tour in September, was most successful. The Garden Tour Committee thanks all of the members who worked to bring it all together. Most of all, THANK YOU residents and friends who purchased tickets and gave donations. All is appreciated. The proceeds are for Civic Beautification and our Scholarship fund, which we give every June. The owners, whose gardens were on the tour, thank you for allowing us to show them for the tour. They were all different and a joy to see, and maintained by the owners.
We completed plantings at the Gazebo on Bailey’s Hill in early September. It was a combined meeting with Woman’s Club. It really looks lovely. Every one should try to see this wonderful open area that we are most fortunate to have in Nahant.
There is parking for those that drive. The cold weather is setting in, so the plantings will soon be “resting” until Spring.
Our 2007-2008 yearbooks were delivered to members by our directors. If you did not receive one, please contact Chairman Mary Irene Dickenson or me. She and a few members worked this Summer to put our lovely new yearbook together. Please refer to it for upcoming events, and general garden club information, such as our By-Laws.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving,
Carmella L. Cormier, Recording Secretary
